Feldschlösschen Winterdorf (Winter Village)
For an advent atmosphere of a slightly different kind, visit the Feldschlösschen Brewery in Rheinfelden and discover their winter village. For four days, the area around the “Brauwelt” (the brewery building that was built to resemble a medieval castle) will be transformed into the “Feldschlösschen Winterdorf” (winter village). Strolling between the market stalls, visitors can treat themselves to a warming soup or "Schüblig mit Brot" (sausage with bread) and enjoy a fine mulled beer or mulled wine. In addition to the culinary offers, there are great gift ideas to discover, with various partners offering handmade and regional products, including salt products, wood crafts, or beer-based gifts. For more active pursuits, you can test your skills at a round of curling. They will also offer special tours through the brewery, where you follow the path of their beers and receive exciting and special insights behind the scenes and into the world of beer from their beer ambassadors. Discover the brewing process on your own or tap the beer of your choice from the largest digital beer dispenser with 25 taps. For a cozy conclusion, you can reserve a place for a final dinner in the Feldschlösschen Restaurant or in the Chäs-Hüttli and enjoy some fine specialties from the brewery alongside a suitable (Christmas) beer.
In addition to this special event, the Advent season in Rheinfelden will offer a very special atmosphere for a visit from November 25 to January 8, despite some energy-saving measures. There will be numerous attractions to get you into the Christmas spirit, including singing by the fountain, carriage rides, a small Christmas market, fondue hut and mulled wine in the city park, music concerts on December 3 (20:00) and 4 (15:00), nativity scene, and a carousel. Also, the illuminated 6-horse carriage from the Feldschlösschen brewery drives through the old town and brings the Christmas beer to front of the town hall. https://www.tourismus-rheinfelden.ch/de/adventsfunkeln-rheinfelden-2022
