The Capriccio Baroque Orchestra was founded in 1999 by artistic director Dominik Kiefer and soon became one of the most renowned baroque orchestras in Switzerland. Together with the Basler Bach Chor and soloists Amelia Scicolone (soprano), Laurie Hamiche (soprano), Carmen Seibel (Alto), Benjamin Glaubitz (tenor), and Markus Eiche (bass), they will be performing Mendelssohn’s “Elias.”
Tickets are CHF 75-120, which include both this concert and a performance of Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Johannespassion” (Passion of John) in March, 2023.
