Flâneur Festival

Offene Kirche Elisabethen
18:00-23:00 (Thu. & Fri.) | 15:00-24:00 (Sat.)

This summer, the urban-space festival called “Flâneur” wants to meet the contemporary needs of society and permanently shape the future-oriented image of Basel as a creative, sustainable, and diverse city. They want to incite change and attract a new, young, and urban audience by offering special city experiences in the city center of Basel, with attractive urban space objects. The festival revitalizes the city center of Basel with attractive urban space objects and special city experiences.
The festival will culminate with three days of concentrated activities in a small space—in a temporarily created pedestrian zone on Elisabethenstrasse that brings together everything that makes the city special. On these evenings, everything you love about Basel will come together. Discover new local brands, take part in workshops and design your individual lifestyle product under the guidance of the makers and professionals, taste fine local delicacies, toast with your friends, and experience various intimate and charming live concerts in the middle of the city. The Flâneur Festival inspires with an exciting and unique variety of local brands and manufacturers, craft businesses, gastronomy offers, interactive workshops, and experiences from culture, enjoyment, and lifestyle. The diversity of the city is presented during these three days in the form of pop-up corners, food corners, bars, mobile stages, newly created relaxation zones, and other surprising, innovative offers.
