Fotografie ’23 — Photography Expo

Offene Kirche Elisabethen
16:00-20:00 (Friday) / 10:00-17:00 (Saturday)

Fotografie ’23 is a touch-and-try expo for all photography enthusiasts. This year's edition with the theme "Meaningful Pursuits" again offers an ambitious program, presenting the best of the photographic medium in all its diversity. The theme is about immersing yourself in purposeful pursuits, embodying hope and optimism. It shines a light on the belief in yourself to achieve the things that are meaningful and important to you.
There will be interactive workshops, live shootings, seminars, and competitions with some of the biggest brands in the business. Organized by Foto Marlin, specialists from all well-known camera and accessory manufacturers will be on site to answer questions, advise you on the best equipment for your needs, and demonstrate or let you try their latest products.
There will also be a photography competition that seeks to promote and elevate the skillset of aspiring and professional photographers alike. The theme also is "Meaningful Pursuits", which is particularly fitting at a time when there is so much uncertainty in the world, from climate change to markets to changing land regimes. Therefore, the photos submitted should reflect what meaningful pursuits mean to you, what currently leads to your happiness and sense of fulfillment. Photographers of all levels, ages, and backgrounds are welcome to enter the free competition. Submissions should by made by Monday, August 14, either by email ( or on Instagram (#meaningfulpursuitsfm). Participants can submit 1 to 3 photos; each picture should have a short description that is in line with the theme. What does the picture and meaningful pursuits mean to you? Please include your full name and location with the submission. Winners will be selected by a jury and announced at the Fotografie '23 expo. All submitted images will be printed and displayed during the event.
Entrance is free.
