The musicians of From Kid, Andrin Berchtold and Gian Reto Camenisch, are from Chur and live in an old farmhouse on the outskirts of town. Backed by the indie label Sonic Service, tehy have gone from insider tip to national chart-toppers within the last two years. Their songs are in two voices—slightly melancholic with a feather-light restraint.
"Wave," the new song by From Kid, is an ode to change. It takes a nostalgic look back at childhood, memories of life on the mountains, but also on the longing for something new, the sea, the waves. Change also means moving on to a foreign world. “Wave” is the fourth song from the new From Kid album, which will be released in autumn. Following their two first albums and tours through Switzerland and Germany, the third studio work is also a move into new worlds, accompanied by a tour through autumnal Switzerland.
