The Basel-based producer Audio Dope began his musical career producing traditional beats inspired by late 90s hip-hop until he fell in love with instrumental music. He soon found his own recipe by combining organic samples and vocal fragments with fresh synths and crisp drums. His productions between hip-hop, downtempo, and trip-hop led to supports for international greats such as Kaytranada, Maribou State, Gaslamp Killer, and Odesza as well as shows at festivals such as Montreux Jazz, Zürich Openair, and Openair Frauenfeld. Audio Dope has already released four highly acclaimed releases on BandCamp and has been played and shared by international radios and blogs such as BBC One, Indie Shuffle, Hillydilldy, and EarMilk.
After her successful live tours and releases earned Sensu the title of "Artist of the Month" at the Montreux Jazz Festival, as well as a nomination for a Swiss Music Award, Sensu is moving forward in 2024 with a new EP. Originally rooted in hip-hop, the Aargau native continues to evolve by incorporating and integrating elements of post-D&B, garage, and electronic music.
