Pedal and sing for a good cause—Basel musician Bettina Schelker and Mirjam Oswald will start the GoStar Charity Bike Challenge with 40 other bikers in November 2024. This challenge takes brave cyclists through the breathtaking landscapes of Ethiopia. In doing so, they collect donations for the GoStar Foundation, which is committed to the sustainable improvement of medical care in Ethiopia.
Schelker was already there as a biker in 2019 and wrote a song for the foundation. "Ethiopia" symbolizes the tireless efforts of Dr. Jörg Peltzer and his team, whose commitment has a direct and positive influence on the lives of many people in Ethiopia. 100% of the ticket proceeds from this charity concert go to the GoStar Foundation. By purchasing a concert ticket for CHF 100, you finance a surgery for three Ethiopian patients at the University Hospital in Jimma. All donors will receive a donation receipt via email. On this evening, Schelker will play songs from her current program “Startklar,” there will be surprise guests, and DJ Michi Motter will perform a dance set at the end.
