Groove Now — Dylan Triplett & Friends

Atlantis Basel
Wednesday, 26 June

It is very rare for a young singer to have a voice that makes your blood run cold. However, this is the case with Dylan Triplett. The young man from St. Louis, just over 20 years old, has a great voice with which he can seemingly master four and a half octaves with ease. Other trained singers reach two and a half to three octaves at best.
Triplett has been singing since he was 9 years old. As is often the case with such exceptional talents, he grew up in a musical family. The Jackson 5, Luther Vandross, James Brown, Ray Charles and Oliver Sain made an impression on him at a young age. Since the age of 16, Triplett has lived from music. He founded his band, which also included his father and brother, and performed at major blues festivals in the United States. Triplett then moved to Nashville. His first CD “Who is he?” is a mixture of blues, soul, and jazz influences on which he contributes original compositions as well as numbers by Jimmy McCracklin, Marvin Gaye, and even the Miles Davis song "All Blues."
His debut album was so impressive that Groove Now! chose to present him with an all-star band—with horns, of course, as befits soul music. Anyone who loves soul greats such as Otis Redding, Al Green, Solomon Burke, Sam Cooke, or Marvin Gaye should not miss Triplett. In a few years' time, it will hardly be possible to experience him in the intimate surroundings of a music club. Be sure to catch one of the greatest talents in the international blues and soul scene for the first time in Switzerland.
Tickets are CHF 76.90 and can be purchased through; seats are limited so come early or enjoy grooving to the music in standing room area.
