Until now, Groove Now audiences knew Mike Zito and Albert Castiglia primarily as singers and bandleaders who played with amplified guitars. The intimate side of the two has never been heard before. Groove Now has had the idea of presenting these two stars of the international blues scene as an acoustic guitar duo for several years, and this exciting project will finally come to light this June. Zito and Castiglia will leave their electric guitars in the hotel room and perform with acoustic guitars. With both musicians enthusiastic about the idea, this project will be a world premiere. The two musicians, who both have been nominated for Blues Music Awards in 2024, regularly play together and have already released two albums together. For all of their fans, this evening of quiet sounds is an absolute must, as this will probably remain a one-off project.
