Guided E-Bike Tours with Celebrities

Sissach Train Station
Saturday, 25 June

The enchanting landscape of the region is best discovered by e-bike—for example, on varied themed tours through Northwestern Switzerland organized by Baselland Tourismus. New this year, they are offering the special experience of themed e-bike tours with trained e-bike guides and a prominent guest. Cycling fun; culinary, scenic, and cultural highlights; as well as interesting conversations with exciting personalities are guaranteed.
On this Saturday, former professional cyclist Franco Marvulli invites you to an e-bike tour in Baselland. Born in Zürich, he also likes to be out and about in Baselland and show the participants the various wine-growing villages. A stop at a panoramic restaurant and plenty of background information about cycling are included.
The 35-km wine tour (approximately 700 meters in altitude) will start at the Sissach train station at 10:00 (meeting point). After the ascent to the "Rickenbacher Höchi," the tour continues to the Farnsburg country inn, where you will enjoy a fine lunch with regional products. As you continue, the path meanders through the vineyards of Wintersingen, Buus, and Maisprach. The vineyards around these three villages produce an impressive 53,000 bottles of wine annually. Of course, you will also have the opportunity to taste regional wines on site, at the Talhof winery in Maisprach. After countless beautiful views, you will return to Sissach, where you end the day with a nice glass of wine in the newly opened Hotel/Restaurant Sonne.
You will need to bring your own e-bike and make sure that the battery is sufficiently charged for the tour. At the Landgasthof Farnsburg there is a charging station for a maximum of 5 e-bikes. The most common charging cables are available on site (otherwise please bring your own charger). The tours are suitable for e-bikes with a motor-assisted speed of up to 25 km/h (since the route partly leads over forest roads, fast e-bikes with a motor-assisted speed of up to 40 km/h are not permitted).
The cost of this tour is CHF 89, which includes the trained tour guide, the prominent escort by Franco Marvulli, and a lunch of regional specialties (choice of meat or vegetarian) as well as wine tasting and snacks at the winery, and final drink in the Sonne restaurant in Sissach.
