On this special day, the whole family can experience the world of the Romans and Habsburgs at the Vindonissapark Festival 2025. This year’s special theme is “Glimpses into the Beyond" and invites you to participate and discover—for example, by making glass bead necklaces and candles. Adults can taste Roman wine, children can stomp grapes and are trained to become brave legionaries. The aroma of delicacies from Roman and medieval times fills the air everywhere.
Five historical sites offer attractions for the whole family: the Vindonissa Legionary Trail and Königsfelden Monastery in Windisch, as well as the Vindonissa Museum, the Reformed Church, and the Brugg City Museum.
There will be a variety of workshops and activities; check the website for the full program at each of the five locations.
Tickets can be booked online and are CHF 18 for adults, CHF 15 for students, CHF 10 for children ages 6-16, and free for kids up to age 5. Family tickets (two adults with up to five kids) are CHF 39, or one adult with up to five kids for CHF 27. Ticket price includes museum admission to all festival locations as well as the shuttle bus between each location. It is best to come by public transport, but there is available parking at three of the locations.
