This year, Basel will be one of four host cities for the Women's European Handball Championship (Women's EHF EURO 2024) that will be co-hosted by Austria, Hungary, and Switzerland. From November 28 to December 3, some of the continent's best teams will compete at St. Jakobshalle in preliminary groups C and D for a place in the main round, which will take place in Debrecen (Hungary) and Vienna (Austria). Team Switzerland will play in group D, while France (reigning world champions) is in group C.
