As a founding member of the Real Bluesband, Hary de Ville helped shape the international blues scene during his long musical career. He was on stage with, among others, Buddy Guy and Junior Wells as well as Katie Webster. This year, the exceptional musician celebrates his 70th birthday—and the Burghof celebrates its 25th anniversary. This just calls for a joint musical celebration. The Burghof is a very special address for de Ville as he recorded several live CDs and many YouTube videos here. For this anniversary concert, he will be on stage with the Real Bluesband and several guest musicians. The program offers a “best of” from 43 years with many original compositions, originally arranged classics by Eric Clapton, Fleetwood Mac, and B.B. King, as well as swing standards and impressive style collages—sometimes danceable, sometimes contemplative, but always with lively power.
