On this evening, the music of the impressively well-rehearsed and sonically multifaceted trio impresses and delights with its tranquility and inner balance. Thierry Lang, the jazz pianist born in Romont in the canton of Fribourg and winner of several awards, has been one of the most internationally successful and highly regarded Swiss jazz musicians for years. Bassist Heiri Känzig, a virtuoso technician and old companion of Lang, is not only international in his biography, but also in his stature, having been one of the best bassists in Europe for years. Andi Pupato, a percussionist, sets clear accents with his pleasantly understated playing. "I never thought before that percussion could make such a difference instead of a drum kit," says Lang.
Tickets are CHF 30 per concert, CHF 20 for youths up to age 25.
