The trio Greifer, together with trombonist Michael Büttler, presents new works for the special instrumentation of zithers and trombone. This production is characterized by intensive collaboration between interpreters and composers: contact, exchange and permeability lead to the optimal exploitation of this musical encounter. In addition to the four commissioned compositions by Lukas Langlotz, Helena Winkelman, Tobias Krebs, and Martin Jaggi, the composers each present two arrangements from Karlheinz Stockhausen's “Tierkreis,” thus moving the instruments out of their shadowy existence and into the center of the contemporary music stage.
Tickets are CHF 15-35 for adults and CHF 10 for ColourKey members or children under age 12.
