After two successful events in the Basel region, the Industry Night is now taking place in the greater Liestal area for the first time. This evening event allows the general public a journey into the worlds of various industries and businesses. More than 30 businesses in the five municipalities of Liestal, Bubendorf, Itingen, Sissach, and Thürnen will be offering exclusive insights behind the scenes throughout the evening. The program is as diverse as the region itself. Participants will be able to gain an insight into various industries, including a manufacturer of transformers weighing several tons, the producer of those famous micro-batteries that keep our wristwatches running, a cleaning company, a car body shop, a joinery, a nursery, a waste disposal center, a lighting company, kitchen builders, wine merchants, and metalworkers. With Ikea in Itingen, one of the largest warehouses in Switzerland shows its inner workings. Meanwhile, life sciences can be experienced at Bachem, Carbogen Amcis, and CIS Biopharma in Bubendorf. And at the Hanro site, you will be able to delve deep into the history of the region—where the legendary Hanro underwear was still produced on a large scale until the end of the 1990s.
With tours, workshops, and talks on offer, everyone is invited on a playful and interactive exploration tour. One ticket connects all locations, and shuttle buses ensure smooth transportation from location to location. Tasty snacks and drinks are also available on site for the hungry and thirsty.

This event is for everyone—for youths looking for insights into potential career paths, for adults looking for a new field or challenge, for family with kids that want to learn about how things work, or for the simply curious! Tickets cost CHF 10 for adults; free for those under age 12 or for holders of the Colourkey. You can purchase a ticket voucher in advance on Eventfrog. On the day of Industry Night, it must be exchanged at one of the four box offices (from 12:00 noon) for a ticket wristband. With an Industrienacht ticket (wristband) or ticket voucher, travel by public transport (TNW) is free from 16:00 onwards. Similar to Museumsnacht, there will be free shuttle buses to take you from one location to another from 17:00 onwards; the busses run every 15-20 minutes.
