Infinity Festival — Sounds from Kazakhstan

Zunftsaal Safranzunft
Friday, 31 March
19:30

The Basel Infinity Festival will take place for the fourth time this spring. This young festival has already firmly established itself in Basel's music and cultural landscape and is far more than "just" a classical music festival—it deliberately explores the boundaries of classical music and creates an incomparable atmosphere with original, cross-disciplinary concerts. In addition to top-class national and international artists, the Basel Infinity Festival also offers young musicians the opportunity to present themselves to the public. The unique combination of classical music with literature, ethnic folk music, and dance reaches a broad audience.
The ensemble Turan from Kazakhstan is a world-renowned ensemble specializing in the performance of traditional folk music from that country. With original instruments and throat singing they take you back to bygone times of the old, rural Kazakhstan. Captivating and authentic! After the concert there will be an apéro riche.
Tickets, which include the apéro riche, are CHF 45 for adults and CHF 30 for people under age 28.
