Moving to a new country can be daunting, but it doesn't have to be overwhelming. This interactive talk series will give you some practical tips to help you acclimate to Basel, be part of a vibrant community, and feel more confident with your relocation.
Creating meaningful connections in your new home is paramount to your overall happiness. This discussion will highlight clubs, volunteer opportunities, and organizations that will help you find purpose and meaning to your life in Basel. In addition, details will be shared on where to go as you start to explore the gorgeous Swiss landscapes. The talk will be followed by a light apéro.
Please register individually (i.e. do not register for multiple tickets under one name). After the talk they will be emailing a list of helpful resources to all participants and need individual emails to do so.
Cost is CHF 18 per event. Tickets are non-refundable, but if you can't make it and would like to transfer your ticket to another person, please email meaghan.renner@ybibasel.ch by 17:00 on November 20 with the new name and email.
This event is the third part of a three-part talk series, but you are free to attend each talk individually. The other two talks address "Making Basel Your Home" (September 19) and "Swiss Culture and Language Learning " (October 24).
