With a lot of dedication, the organizers draw from the huge well of music and present a surprising palette of musical styles where composers, ensembles, professors, and musicians meet in the infinity of the musical universe. From Baroque, Classic, and Romanticism to contemporary music they are exploring with great curiosity the endless worlds of sound.
Praised by the Washington Post as "one of the most authentic artists on the classical music stage today," Jean Rondeau is considered a global ambassador for the harpsichord. His exceptional talent and innovative approach to the keyboard repertoire have earned him widespread recognition and established him as one of the leading harpsichordists of our time. Rondeau comes to Basel with his French program, which presents stirring and breathtaking works by Royer, Couperin, and Rameau. Pieces such as "Vertigo" by Royer were ahead of their time and guarantee a thrilling concert experience.
