The Interfinity Festival offers a fascinating mix of high-caliber international and local artists in innovative and genre-crossing concerts. Over the past few years, it has become an established part of Basel’s annual musical calendar. With a lot of dedication, the organizers draw from the huge well of music and present a surprising palette of musical styles where composers, ensembles, professors, and musicians meet in the infinity of the musical universe. From Baroque, Classic, and Romanticism to contemporary music they are exploring with great curiosity the endless worlds of sound.
It has been 30 years since a few cheeky music students with philharmonic ambitions gave in to the temptations of pub music in the Mnozil Inn in Vienna and, quite unplanned, took the path into the entertainment business. They left the noble world of classical music behind and traveled the globe in the service of applied brass music. Success came quickly and it happened as it had to—the decades flew by and the ensemble became world famous. Even in the 30th year of their existence, the fire of brass music burns brightly in their hearts, as lively as it did back then in that small Viennese pub. And that is why Mnozil Brass is once again setting out for new shores and presenting the ultimate brass birthday in the form of an anniversary show. Interfinity is proud to welcome the seven gifted musicians to Basel as part of the 2025 edition. Look forward to their humorous and captivating arrangements, which they will present at the highest and breathtaking level.
