The Interfinity Festival offers a fascinating mix of high-caliber international and local artists in innovative and genre-crossing concerts. Over the past few years, it has become an established part of Basel’s annual musical calendar. With a lot of dedication, the organizers draw from the huge well of music and present a surprising palette of musical styles where composers, ensembles, professors, and musicians meet in the infinity of the musical universe. From Baroque, Classic, and Romanticism to contemporary music they are exploring with great curiosity the endless worlds of sound.
In the charming atmosphere of the Perron restaurant in the old St. Johann train station, a special concert evening awaits you with pianist Alice Burla, the celebrated Danish violinist Anna Agafia Egholm, the highly talented cellist Milena Umiglia, and the young "rising star" Paul Zientara. They present a varied program of solo and chamber music literature, which includes works from the Romantic and Late Romantic periods. Burla, who completed her soloist diploma at the Basel University of Music with top marks, inspires audiences around the world with her captivating musicality and technical brilliance. Egholm is known for her profound interpretation and subtle musicality, while the up-and-coming cellist Umiglia impresses with her expressive playing. Zientara has already worked with greats such as Renaud Capuçon. Together they promise a multifaceted evening at the highest level. After the concert, the Perron restaurant invites you to dinner to round off the evening in a relaxed atmosphere.
Tickets are CHF 25 for adults and CHF 15 for students, or CHF 89/CHF 83 for the concert with dinner (three-course menu).
