The Interfinity Festival offers a fascinating mix of high-caliber international and local artists in innovative and genre-crossing concerts. Over the past few years, it has become an established part of Basel’s annual musical calendar. With a lot of dedication, the organizers draw from the huge well of music and present a surprising palette of musical styles where composers, ensembles, professors, and musicians meet in the infinity of the musical universe. From Baroque, Classic, and Romanticism to contemporary music they are exploring with great curiosity the endless worlds of sound.
This unique project is devoted to the human psyche and developmental psychology. In collaboration with the well-known Basel psychotherapist Peter Schwob, a multidisciplinary play is being created that sheds light on emotional scenes such as love, hate, ecstasy, and weariness in everyday encounters. In seven scenes you will experience the tensions that shape us every day. Whether in the office, shopping center, or at home—each scene shows emotions such as hurt, joy, or jealousy that we all know. The two young actresses Katharina Gieron and Alina Schmidli embody these encounters. The Hungarian-Chilean composer and film music specialist Amador Buda sets the scenes to music for a chamber ensemble, while the Italian visual artist Michele Innocente takes care of the visual design. The renowned actor Raphael Clamer is moderating the project. Visual and literary quotes that pick up on emotional patterns over time complement the scenes.
Tickets are CHF 45 for adults and CHF 25 for students.
