Interfinity: One Evening — Two Concerts

St. Pauluskirche
Saturday, 02 March
17:30

The Interfinity concert festival is a unique event that offers a fascinating mix of high-caliber international and local artists in innovative and genre-crossing concerts; over the past few years, it has become an established part of Basel’s annual musical calendar. With a lot of dedication, the organizers draw from the huge well of music and present a surprising palette of musical styles where composers, ensembles, professors, and musicians meet in the infinity of the musical universe. From Baroque, Classic, and Romanticism to contemporary music they are exploring with great curiosity the endless worlds of sound.
On this evening, there will be two concerts, with an aperitif served in between (included in the price). The first concert features the Knabenkantorei (Boys' Choir) Basel. The boys' and men's voices of the traditional choir school sing an enchanting, varied, and colorful program as part of a "pre-concert" that combines a wide variety of genres and eras. This concert, which will be at 17:30, is the start of the Knabenkantorei Basel's big South American tour.
The second concert is entitled “Mezzo meets Lied” and starts at 19:30. Mezzo-soprano Patricia Nolz from Austria is a “rising star” with a stunning voice. She is coming to Basel with a classical repertoire from Schumann to Strauss and Zemlinsky. Pianist Jan Schultsz accompanies her congenially.
Admission for the choir concert with the Knabenkantorei Basel (including aperitif) is CHF 30 for adults and CHF 20 for students (under age 28). Admission for the “Mezzo meets Lied” concert, including aperitif, also is CHF 30 for adults and CHF 20 for students. Admission for both concerts including aperitif is CHF 45 for adults and CHF 25 for students.
