Interfinity — Supramodal Parser

Interfinity turns its gaze upwards—to exoplanets and the cosmos. The festival tells a continuous storyline, from the origins of humanity to the distant worlds beyond our solar system. Musically, the journey leads from the Baroque era to the modern age and culminates in a grand highlight: a production about exoplanets in the Messe Halle, developed in collaboration with the NCCR PlanetS research focus and performed by the Sinfonieorchester Basel.
The work "Supramodal Parser" by acclaimed German composer Alexander Schubert, part of the Interfinity thematic cluster "Cosmos," explores our own inner, human cosmos. The work delves deep into the subconscious and, within the setting of a club night, explores ecstasy, desires, dreams, and the unconscious within the infinity of our inner being. Schubert, together with light artist Nika Schönfelder, handles the electronics, while the ensemble (saxophone: Paulina Pitenko, drums: Miguel Garcia, piano: Denis Linnik, electric guitar: Ruben Santorsa) performs the captivating music live. Singer Mona Steinwidder takes on the role of the spoken voice. You are completely immersed in this magnificent world of sound and light—until your own perception merges with the performance. A unique concert experience is guaranteed.
Tickets are CHF 30 (CHF 15 for students up to age 26).
