International Synchronized Skating Competition

Synchronized skating is a discipline of figure skating where 16 to 20 skaters move synchronously at high speeds, completing difficult footwork. St. Jakobs-Arena in Basel is the location for the Synchronized Skating—International Mixed-Age Trophy. Synchronized-skating teams from all over Europe, as well as several teams from Switzerland will be presenting the judges and the audience their 3½-minute performances to the judges and the audience, and the top three teams will receive a prize. Watch as the ice dancers race towards each other at crazy speed, only to glide gently past each other, get into formation, twirl in circles, and kick their legs up in the air. The event starts at 14:00 on both days.
Tickets are CHF 15 for adults, CHF 5 for kids ages 10-18, and free for kids under age 10. There will be no advanced ticket sales; box office opens at 12:00.
