The Irish Music Session Basel brings Ireland's finest musicians to Basel in an intimate setting to bring the authentic power of Irish sounds to life on two evenings (October 8 and 9), each with a top-class line-up reflecting the diversity of the Irish scene.
On this evening, Tara Howley and Band, Ger O’Donnell, Trevor Sexton, and Don Stiffe will take the stage.
Tara Howley is an award-winning multi-instrumentalist, singer, and composer from County Clare, the heart of traditional Irish music. Regarded as one of the most distinguished artists of her generation, she embodies a striking blend of technical brilliance and emotional depth. As a former soloist on the Riverdance world tour, she has represented Irish culture on some of the world's greatest stages.
Ger O'Donnell and Trevor Sexton are two of the most distinctive voices in the contemporary Irish music scene that merge into an extraordinary sonic experience. Their performance promises a blend of technical brilliance and deep, honest emotion. Together with their band, they create a rich, harmonious sound often described as a "goosebump-inducing experience." Their repertoire ranges from soulful ballads to rhythmically intense songs.
Don Stiffe is one of Ireland's most charismatic voices. The award-winning singer-songwriter from Galway is known for his deeply personal yet universal songs.
