Lahav Shani is an Israeli conductor, pianist, and double bassist. On this evening, he will be accompanied by the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, a major Israeli symphony orchestra based in Tel Aviv. Works will include Modest Mussorgsky’s “Introduction (Dawn on the Moskva)” from “Khovanshchina;” Dmitri Shostakovich’s Piano Concerto No. 2 in F major, op. 102; and Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy’s Symphony No. 3 in A minor, op. 56.
