You lie in a star shape on the stage around a large, strange cylinder and look up into the sky. A huge mirror floats on the ceiling, through which you can see the dancers inside the cylinder. Following a rhythm, individual body parts form incredible figures, like the colorful patterns of a kaleidoscope—symmetrical, flowing, mysterious, and always in motion. MIRKIDS is the new visually stunning dance work for young audiences by Vevey-based choreographer Jasmine Morand. A fascinating, hypnotic factory of images in which young and old alike can marvel and lose themselves. This unique show is 45 minutes long and recommended for ages 6 and over.
