Istanbul synth-wave avant-gardists Jakuzi caused quite a stir in 2017 with the release of their debut album “Fantezi Müzik.” Founded by singer Kutay Soyocak and producer Taner Yücel, the band refuses to be pigeonholed and takes the audience on a wild ride through the never-aging 80s. With borrowings from Krautrock and their love of Turkish pop music, they have found an expressive sound language within this spectrum. After sold-out shows and festival appearances, including with their idol John Maus, and much praise from the international press, they are making their way to Kaserne for the first time to present old songs and a few surprises.
