French duo Ko Shin Moon ingeniously fuses Far Eastern musical traditions with electronic instruments, crafting a unique hybrid sound that oscillates between Bağlama psychedelic, and funky space disco. They proudly embrace a tradition akin to legendary pop pioneers like David Byrne and Ryūichi Sakamoto, whose indelible influence on the band's “outernational” approach is undisputed. Through their album “Miniature I&II,” the band has fashioned exquisite musical miniatures, collaborating with Greek, Kurdish, and Turkish guest musicians and singers. This performance as part of the Jazzhane event series is the insane live band's first ever performance in Basel.
