Jim Bows & The Flycatchers

Atlantis Basel
Saturday, 19 April
21:00

Jim Bows & The Flycatchers play original acoustic music influenced by American bluegrass, folk, and country music traditions that evokes the feeling of living in the mountains and a rural lifestyle in their native Switzerland. This is a family band (Jim and two of his sons, Bensch and Josh) who are all are multi-instrumentalists changing effortlessly between guitar, dobro, mandolin, and bass. Watch their fingers fly as they play and sing their own brand of toe tapping, feel good music.
Bows has been a professional musician for over 30 years but had to wait until his sons had grown up before forming the band in mid 2017. His original songs and instrumentals allow everyone to showcase their talents, and they post new music and videos every month on social media.
The band loves to play live and always enjoy a bit of “Stage banter.” Jim has an easy rapport with audiences, whether explaining about the history of the music or just telling stories about today’s adventure. There will be audience participation with lots of singing along and the infamous “double clap.” Experience their infectious energy and undeniable chemistry live in concert.
Tickets are CHF 25 in advance or CHF 30 at the door; CHF 5 discount for students.
