Kids’ Theater in Wegmattenpark — Wickie und die Stargge Männer
For the six weeks of the school holidays, the children’s theater, Theater Arlecchino, is performing the play “Wickie und die Stargge Männer” (Wickie and the strong men) at the Wegmattenpark in Allschwil.
The Vikings are naturally strong, fearless, and loud fellows. But little Wickie is different—he is reserved and delicate, which annoys his father, the Viking chieftain Halvar. But the boy has a gift that hardly any of his fellow Vikings have—he is smart and uses his brain, creativity, and instinct to help his friends out of many tricky situations.
This Viking story suitable for families with kids ages 4 and up. It will be presented twice daily (14:00 and 16:00) on Sunday through Friday in the Wegmattenpark in Allschwil, except for the Swiss National Day on August 1. The performance will last 55 minutes without intermission, and you are free to come and go as you please. Shows will be cancelled in case of bad weather; confirm by checking the website after 12:00.
Admission is free and no reservation is required. There will be a collection after the show to benefit the actors.
