Klosterbergfest
Offene Kirche Elisabethen
18:00-3:00 (Fri.) | 11:00-3:00 (Sat.) | 11:00-18:00 (Sun.)
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the traditional street festival on the Klosterberg in Basel. This annual 3-day festival helps raise money and awareness for the charity "Kinder in Brasilien" (Children in Brazil), which was founded by the initiator of the Klosterbergfest, Onorio Mansutti. Many tents and stages offer a variety of ethnic foods, goods, and music. The festival takes place along the Klosterberg, up to Elisabethen Kirche. The church itself will host a great children’s program, including shows, arts and craft activities, and a terrific slide that runs from the top of the church to the bottom.
