Kofi Baker’s Cream Faith

Atlantis Basel
Wednesday, 13 March

The timeless music of the bands Cream and Blind Faith—with drummer Ginger Baker, bassist Jack Bruce, and guitarist Eric Clapton—and the sounds that defined an era can be experienced again with musicianship that is unparalleled in finesse, repartee, innovation, and subtle interpretation by the next generation.
Baker's son Kofi, a critically acclaimed drummer himself, toured North America in 2023 with the music to sold-out houses and rave reviews. In 2020, Kofi shared the stage with Eric Clapton, Roger Waters, Nile Rodgers, Ronnie Wood, and drummers Steve Gadd, Kenney Jones, Sonny Emory, and Henry Spinetti at the London tribute show in memory of his father, where his solo impressed the audience who was moved to tears. Kofi has also undertaken extensive and successful tours over the years in Australia, Europe and North America with Bruce's son Malcolm, where their "father stories" provided additional entertainment. Malcolm is also an accomplished bassist with his father's talent who recorded with Ginger Baker and worked on his father's last album. Malcolm writes, performs, records, and tours his own music throughout the world, often performing with many high-profile musicians.
The last of the bunch is the young lead guitarist Robert Johnson, who has big shoes to fill. But when his father, Mr. Johnson (married to Ginger Baker's niece), named his son Robert, it was clear that the boy's future with his love of folk, country and blues at The Crossroads was assured. He is also a member of the band Motel Sundown and an instrumental lecturer at the prestigious University of Liverpool.
With these three bright lights, the audience is guaranteed a nostalgic, exciting and immersive experience that will be remembered for a long time and will make you want to repeat it!
Tickets are CHF 35 in advance and CHF 40 at the box office (CHF 5 discount for students).
