Königin Orgel, Relaoded (Queen Organ, Reloaded)
Long live the Queen! Listening to the magnificent organ works by Johann Sebastian Bach and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart—masterfully interpreted by the Basel organist Tobias Lindner and the Collegium Musicum Basel—audiences can marvel at the strength and power of the undisputed ruler of all instruments and be touched by her lovely side. The bold rhythms and harmonies of Franz Ignaz Beck prepare the audience for Bach and Mozart’s mighty works. Ludwig van Beethoven also invoked none less than the goddess Fortuna while working on his second symphony. "I want to grab fate in the jaws, it certainly shouldn't bend me down completely," he wrote. Exuberantly positive and full of life in its message, this work is a testimony to the inner struggles of the great composer, who did not intend to give up hope in life even with progressive deafness and death, which he believed was imminent. Collegium Musicum Basel invites you to enjoy an evening full of excitement and emotions!
Tickets are CHF 49-84 for adults and CHF 15 for students.
