Kulturtreppe — Family Concert With Äl Jawala

MUKS Museum Kultur & Spiel Riehen
Sunday, 07 July

For four evenings, the “Kulturtreppe” (culture stairs) will convert the yard of the MUKS into an open-air concert venue with bands and voices from the region.
The finale of the Kulturtreppe 2024 belongs to young and old music fans alike. When Äl Jawala (Arabic for “the wanderers, and pronounced Äl Dschawalla) play, the motto is clear—diversity is richness and we are all one, we belong together. The four musicians have been on the road together for over 20 years and spread positive energy and infectious joie de vivre with their sound. With two saxophones and lots of percussion, they ignite the fire of a whole gypsy brass band and take their audience on a journey with a rousing crossover of oriental brass and hypnotic grooves. When their fireworks ignite on stage, there is no stopping them. It was only a matter of time before a younger audience wanted to experience these fireworks, and so Äl Jawala have been playing children's concerts in addition to their concert tours. After over a thousand performances throughout Europe, 10 albums, and several awards, the four musicians are coming to play at the Kulturtreppe!
You are welcome to experience the MUKS before the concert. The museum is also open on Sunday from 11:00-17:00, with drinks, snacks, and coffee for the grown-ups too, of course!
Entrance is free but there will be a collection.
