Lea Lu’s last album “I Call You” was a call out into the world, driven by the desire for encounters. The wish became reality, and this is the origin of her new EP. In 2022, Lu spent most of her time in New York, where she met inspiring musicians and participated in jam sessions on rooftops, in secret basements, jazz clubs, wine bars, and living rooms. She also toured India and Europe with dear musician friends. The song “Sun” on the new EP is inspired by all of these encounters that change us and leave traces forever. It's a song about this precious gift—and about letting go of these moments. One of the musicians Lu met was the trumpeter CJ Camerieri aka CARM (Bon Iver, Paul Simon). She heard him play in a small bar in Brooklyn and was blown away. The very next day she sent him a sketch of “Sun.” He loved the song and wrote a beautiful horn arrangement for it. Afterwards, CARM invited Lu to open the Bon Iver concert in Milano together.
On this evening, she will play new songs from the current EP with her band.
Tickets are CHF 30 or CHF 35 at the door.
