Fashion offers space for transformation, performance, and self-discovery. In a series of events, students from the Master's Studio for Fashion Design at the HGK Basel FHNW present their experimental projects. The audience will experience the connection between clothing, body, and performance, experiencing fashion as a vibrant, participatory art form. The events in the series each focus on different themes. Attending a single event is therefore just as possible, as participating in multiple events or the entire series. The event will be held in English.
The lecture "The Art of the Image: Photography & Styling" offers a look at visual storytelling and the construction of identity through fashion images, alienation, and narratives. Fashion will be discussed as a visual medium that makes personal and collective stories visible.
