In this concert, the Argentine flautist María Cecilia Muñoz and the Canadian pianist Tiffany Butt reflect on the experiences of various artists in the face of the lack of freedom. Given their restrictive contexts, what did they capture in their scores? How did they find freedom through their compositions? What emotions do they convey to the listener? The duo invites you to search for answers to these questions through a series of works by composers including Mel Bonis, David Braid, Sofia Gubaidulina, Clara Schumann, and Amy Beach. The concert explores how the fascinating possibilities of human expression and the evolution of art show a path to inner freedom even in the most diverse adversities.
Tickets are CHF 20-60 for adults and half price for students.
