For the first time, offbeat presents two new, promising band projects from the new London jazz scene. Jamie Cullum calls British saxophonist Emma Rawicz “an impressive talent,” Jazzwise Magazine calls her “a force to be reckoned with,” and the BBC states, “The name Emma Rawicz is on everyone’s lips right now.” The 21-year-old is the latest discovery of the lively London jazz scene, which has been causing a stir around the world for years. And despite her young age, she has already achieved a lot—winner of the Parliamentary Jazz Awards, finalist in the Jazz FM Awards, and the BBC Young Jazz Musician Competition, concerts at and in all well-known British festivals and clubs, multiple headliners in London institutions such as the Jazz Café and Ronnie Scott's, and appearances at international festivals.
