Since 1995, the pianist Robert Kolinsky and his team endeavor to bring renowned artists to Basel for an annual classical music festival to popularize the works of Czech composer Bohuslav Martinů. The festival, which is regarded by the media as “the smallest but finest of its kind,” this year includes five concerts.
On this evening, the Martinů Festival will be presenting a jazz concert entitled “Tribute to Burt Bacharach.” Martina Barta & her Trio will be performing world hits by the most successful songwriter of the 20th century and most famous student of Martinů under the motto "What the world needs now is love."
Tickets are CHF 20 for adults and CHF 10 for students.
