Matt Bianco

Matt Bianco is a British group originally formed in 1982 by Mark Reilly (vocals), Danny White (keyboards), and the late Kito Poncioni (bass), all previous members of the band Blue Rondo a La Turk. Hits like "Get Out of Your Lazy Bed" and "Half a Minute" established Matt Bianco as one of the biggest acts of the 1980s in Europe, but they also succeeded in the American market.
After numerous changes in band members, splits, and reunions that were accompanied by many hits as well as successful international tours, Reilly is still continuing under the name Matt Bianco. In 2017 a Matt Bianco album called "Gravity" was recorded in Brixton, London, and Stockholm with a new band of musicians from the jazz world, including jazz saxophonists Dave O'Higgins and Magnus Lindgren, which was mixed by Reilly at his studio in London. In 2020, Matt Bianco reunited with the Dutch group New Cool Collective for a lockdown album called “High Anxiety.” In 2022, the new double album "The Essential Matt Bianco" was released that includes 30 tracks featuring all the favorite songs from the Matt Bianco catalogue, either re-recorded or remixed and reinterpreted. This album is presented extensively with concerts around the world, including at the Atlantis in Basel.
Tickets are CHF 55 in advance or CHF 60 at the door.
