As a part of the European Mobility Week, the canton of Basel-Stadt will be hosting another edition of Mobility Week—this year, as a shorter 3-day event, centrally located at Barfüsserplatz. More than 25 partners show you the variety of mobility options—from the VR bike simulator to public transport offers from BVB and BLT to solar boat trips on the Rhine. They relate your mobility with health, lifestyle, sustainability, safety, culture, fun, and more. The action aims to introduce you to environmentally friendly ways to get around in Basel and the three-countries region by foot, bicycle, solar boat, tram, or electric car.
You want to try new forms of mobility, test them, and and experience something new? Move you and others? Get ahead, being mobile and free? The Mobility Week Basel offers you all that and more—spontaneously and free of charge. Discover and experience mobility on the Barfüsserplatz with their exciting activities to join in, gain knowledge, and find like-minded people.
In addition to learning about mobility, you can sustain yourself with regional, fresh, and delicious food and drink from Klara. The energy self-sufficient solar stage will further enhance the atmosphere with a varied musical program. Whether with family, friends, or just to meet like-minded people, come by and become part of the movement!
All campaigns and activities of the Mobilitätswoche are free of charge and can be visited spontaneously. However, for the various free city tours that are part of the program and have only limited spaces, you should register online or directly at the festival site (pending availability).
