Mondrian Ensemble — Fremde Szenen (Foreign Scenes)

Gare du Nord
Wednesday, 22 May
20:00

In “Fremde Szenen,” the Mondrian Ensemble traces the fascination that the work of Robert Schumann exerts on many composers of our time. In his compositions and with the help of his literary works, Schumann strove for a poetic music with a promising future. Many contemporaries considered his works too difficult, but the view of his work has changed since the late 20th century. “Fremde Szenen” combines works by Robert Schumann with related compositions by Wolfgang Rihm, Heinz Holliger, and Jannik Giger.
Tickets are CHF 15-35 for adults and CHF10 for holders of the Colourkey and children under age 12.
