Musical Lovers CH, a new event organisation that celebrates the musical theater community in Switzerland, will come to Basel for the first time! Their mission is to empower local creators, enablers, and supporters to join them in thrilling audiences of today and tomorrow, and to share, discover, and create together!
Musical Lovers CH gives a platform to professional and amateur lovers of musical theater to connect and support each other in a joyous, fun environment. Performers can try out new repertoire, gain stage experience, and mix with industry professionals. They aim to build, strengthen, and bring together the musical theater community!
In the first half of the evening, hosts Benjamin Fröhlich and Romina Ettisberger will chat with invited musical theater professionals, who then sing a song of their choice. In the second half, everyone is invited to put their name in a box, from which names will be randomly drawn to perform in their Open Mic—those chosen will give the song sheet music (iOS AirDrop also possible) to the pianist for live accompaniment. The experience is exhilarating and exciting for the performers and the audience alike!
This event will be bilingual (English/German). Bar service starts at 18:00 and pre-show at 18:15.
