Musical Wellness with Double Bass and Cello
La Cetra Barockorchester & Vokalensemble Basel is presenting a series of intimate concerts entitled "Musical Wellness." The approximately 40-minute sessions are private concerts in a small, baroque-style room at their MusicArte studio. This series is also ideal for families with children to be able to experience live music up close.
On this day, Federico Abraham on double bass and Sophie Lamberbourg on violoncello will perform music from the 19th century for cello and double bass by Dragonetti, Rossini, Lindley.
Lamberbourg comes from Grenoble, France, where she began her cello studies. She plays in several orchestras and chamber music ensembles. In addition to her intense activity as a musician, she transcribed, translated and documented for several years the correspondence between the composer Manuel de Falla and the harpsichordist Wanda Landowska.
Abraham was born in Mendoza, Argentina, and now lives in Basel. After completing his double bass studies in his hometown, he studied early music at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, jazz at the Basel Jazz School, and music education at the Zurich University of the Arts. He works as a freelance musician in the fields of early music, classical music, jazz, and tango and has performed with numerous orchestras and ensembles. As a non-classical double bass player, he has played jazz concerts in Switzerland and also numerous tango concerts.
Tickets are CHF 50 for adults, CHF 25 for youths ages 15-18, and CHF 5 for kids up to age 14.
