Musical Wellness — Young Talents
La Cetra Barockorchester & Vokalensemble Basel is presenting a series of intimate concerts entitled "Musical Wellness." The approximately 40-minute sessions are private concerts in a small, baroque-style room at their MusicArte studio. This series is also ideal for families with children to be able to experience live music up close.
Balduin Jann Erni (born in 2005) developed a great enthusiasm for early music at a young age, which he first cultivated through his piano playing. Out of this passion he built, for example, a moderator of cloth into the piano in order to come as close as possible to the sound of a fortepiano. Listening to countless recordings of baroque music complemented his interest, which culminated in visits of wonderful concerts by the La Cetra Baroque Orchestra, including an unforgettable experience with the sing-along “Messiah.”
By repairing a harpsichord with his own hands, Erni’s intimate connection to these instruments deepened. He continues to develop his playing on piano and harpsichord with great dedication and is very grateful to his teachers Johannes Keller (harpsichord), Samuel Wettstein (piano), and Matias Lanz (basso continuo), who accompany him on his way.
Tickets are CHF 50 for adults, CHF 25 for youths ages 15-18, and CHF 5 for kids up to age 14.
