Musical Wellness with Oboe, Harp, and Harpsichord
La Cetra Barockorchester & Vokalensemble Basel is presenting a series of intimate concerts entitled "Musical Wellness." The approximately 40-minute sessions are private concerts in a small, baroque-style room at their MusicArte studio. This series is also ideal for families with children to be able to experience live music up close.
The program on this Friday will include works by C. Monteverdi, F. Gasparini, G.F. Händel, and J.G. Linike and will be performed by Bettina Simon on oboe, Céline Pasche on harp & recorder, and Irene González Roldán on harpsichord.
Roldán has already completed one Master’s program at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis and is currently starting a second Master's degree. She has won several international prizes as a soloist and with her ensemble. As a soloist, she regularly collaborates with ensembles such as La Cetra Baroque Orchestra, Orquesta Barroca de Sevilla, and Castello Consort.
The Hungarian-born soprano, baroque oboist, and recorder player Simon quickly established herself as one of the most successful and versatile artists of her generation. Throughout her musical career, she has worked with famous baroque orchestras on the international stage, including the La Cetra Baroque Orchestra, Freiburg Baroque Orchestra, Les Musiciens du Louvre, and Budapest Festival Orchestra, among others.
Pasche began her musical training on the recorder and harp in her hometown of Lausanne. She studied recorder in Bern and then at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. She has a busy concert schedule both in Switzerland and abroad, performing both as a soloist and as a member of various chamber music ensembles.
Tickets are CHF 50 for adults, CHF 25 for youths ages 15-18, and CHF 5 for kids up to age 14.
