La Cetra Barockorchester & Vokalensemble Basel is presenting a series of intimate concerts entitled "Musical Wellness." The approximately 40-minute sessions are private concerts in a small, baroque-style room at their MusicArte studio. This series is also ideal for families with children to be able to experience live music up close.
South Korean Hojin Kwaon (recorder) and Mexican Mélanie Flores met in Basel in 2014 while both were students at the Schola Cantorum Basilensis. They decided to continue making music together and formed the duo Las Lunas. The theme of their program on this afternoon is the infinite continuation of the chain of inspiration—they will be performing works by composers who were inspired by the works of other composers, as well as free improvisations by Kwon and Flores together.
Tickets are CHF 50 for adults, CHF 25 for youths ages 15-18, and CHF 5 for kids up to age 14.
