La Cetra Barockorchester & Vokalensemble Basel is presenting a series of intimate concerts entitled "Musical Wellness." The approximately 40-minute sessions are private concerts in a small, baroque-style room at their MusicArte studio. This series is also ideal for families with children to be able to experience live music up close.
On this afternoon, Amélie Chemin on viola da gamba and Maria Ferré on theorbo will present French and Italian pieces. The sophisticated spirit of the French Baroque shines through in these “pièces de caractère,” where exuberance contrasts with depth of feeling. In contrast to the French music, different Italian dances and songs express different feelings.
Tickets are CHF 50 for adults, CHF 25 for youths ages 15-18, and CHF 5 for kids up to age 14.
